How One Day of Giving Transforms a Whole Summer for Local Kids

Every year we step away from our desks and into our communities not to sell homes but to help build something even more lasting—connection, compassion, and a better tomorrow.

At Keller Williams Gateway Realty, RED Day (Renew, Energize, Donate) isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s a tradition we look forward to every May. It’s our way of rolling up our sleeves and showing up with purpose. This year we’re proud to support two incredible places that have brought joy and growth to generations of kids in New Hampshire: YMCA Camp Sargent and YMCA Camp Otter.

You can feel the buzz in the air already. Our associates are excited to be out in the community again, getting their hands dirty with campground clean up, painting, plantings, supply organization, and a long list of other tasks to help the camps get ready for a summer full of memories. These aren't small tasks. They’re the behind-the-scenes essentials that allow the magic to happen once the campers arrive.

It’s more than just a workday. It’s about giving kids a safe space to explore, build friendships, and discover who they are away from screens and surrounded by nature. And knowing we had a hand in making that possible? That’s the kind of reward that doesn’t come with a commission check.

Last year we saw firsthand how a few hours of teamwork could make a huge difference. A fence got a fresh coat of paint. A messy supply room became a model of order. A forgotten corner of camp was transformed into a peaceful gathering space. We’re bringing that same energy this year—along with paint brushes, rakes, smiles, and a whole lot of heart.

We believe real estate is about people, and people thrive in strong communities. Giving back to these camps is one small way we help lay the foundation for a brighter future not just for the kids who will laugh and play there this summer but for everyone who believes in the power of service.
